Traveling through one of the most famous wine regions in the world is eye opening. In fact, a local chef told us that unlike other regions in France the cuisine in Bordeaux takes second seat to the wine. Basically stating that chefs base there menus around the wine not the reverse. The city of Bordeaux is vibrant-full of activity, architecture, history, and of course wine merchants who specialize in Bordeaux.
